Why did your organisation join the LIFES community?
The 4LifeSupport Validating Digital Infrastructure has been developed using the GDPR and FAIR principles as foundational elements. We have placed the citizen in full control over their personal environment where all data about them can be stored. Communities and organizations can interact with that data using digital contracts based on the open standard ODRL. We're implementing and help to further develop the FAIR Data Point, to make sure that sustainability of the technology is facilitated. The membership in LIFES is a strategic choice for us.
How is FAIR and equitable science and innovation relevant to your organisation?
The FAIR principles are one of the basic elements in our 4LifeSupport Validating Digital Infrastructure. By facilitating EU citizens to gain control over their personal data, while still being able to interpret and reuse that data under the data visiting concept, we contribute towards a more equitable ecosystem between citizens, organizations, institutes, and communities. We connect new compliant innovations towards this infrastructure to facilitate new ways of gathering and interpreting data, to facilitate everyone in the network.
What would your organisation like to contribute to the LIFES community?
From our network we can contribute many things, for example: FDP development and deployment, ODRL implementation and development, infrastructure development (both hardware as software), Personal Health Data Locker/Personal Genetic Locker deployment, infrastructure - infrastructure communication, communities/organization onboarding, and much more.
